Song Description
“By the Still Waters-remix” by Robert Goodson is a soulful gospel reflection on surrender, spiritual restoration, and finding lasting peace in God's presence.
Inspired by the message of Psalm 23, this heartfelt song captures the journey from emotional exhaustion and uncertainty to a place of renewed faith, healing, and rest.
Featuring Robert Goodson's warm, expressive baritone vocals, rich gospel harmonies, flowing Rhodes piano, Hammond B3 organ, melodic bass, and the organic musical character of Muscle Shoals soul, “By the Still Waters” creates an atmosphere of comfort and spiritual reassurance.
Its memorable declaration, “I ain't chasing peace no more, I found it where the still waters flow,” speaks to anyone who has spent too long searching for peace in circumstances that continually change.
The song reminds us that peace isn't always found when the storm ends. Sometimes, peace begins when we surrender the struggle and allow God to lead us.
Whether you're experiencing a difficult season, seeking emotional healing, or simply needing a moment of stillness, this song offers a reminder that God's presence remains a place of refuge.
Stop chasing peace. Follow the Shepherd. Let Him restore your soul.
